How I became the creative I am today.
Freelance journalist, blogger, content writer.
Delivering copy, SEO, conversion copy, PPC and other persuasive techniques.
Launched Toronto Marketing Network. The concept: To pitch for client work by mixing and matching freelancer skill sets to suit client needs.
At big agencies I worked on big brand briefs with massive budgets. At small and medium-sized agencies I got to know business owners and their needs, and delivered more digital content (think CRO, SEO, PPC, A/B testing, data-based content, etc). Eventually, I got a chance to combine my love of big brand creative and digital optimization, which was a great experience.
Working in the SaaS industry and managing a copy and content team allows me to combine my knowledge of UX/UI, conversion copy, analytics, and SEO with creative talents and processes.
I’ve been fortunate enough to lead many big projects that have helped FreshBooks grow and thrive in a very competitive accounting software space.
I aspire to keep learning and growing as new technology shapes the way people consume and interact with content. As a manager of creatives, my goal is to continuously provide guidance as well as opportunities for growth, learning and networking.
